The "Runaway Creek Outstanding Bridle Mare" Award Established

Starting in 2007, Runaway Creek established, with the approval of the NRCHA, a special award to honor the great Bridle mares of the NRCHA. 

CR Morrison  designed a beautiful perpetual trophy that each year adds to it, the High Scoring mare in the Open Bridle at the NRCHA World Championship Snaffle Bit Futurity.  The trophy also carries the past 9 champion mares from 1974-2006 along with the Breeder, Owner and Rider.  This perpetual trophy is displayed each year at the  SBF and will eventually reside at the NRCHA Hall of Fame/Museum when one is established. 

The trophy provides a historical record of those great mares of the NRCHA that have completed their training and shown their outstanding abilities as Bridle horses by being the top mare at the most prestigious of all NRCHA bridle events.

Runaway Creek & CR Morris also donates to the owner of the high scoring mare each year, a CR Morrison trophy for the owner to keep and a minimum of $1000 in added money.   

We at Runaway Creek are committed to following the NRCHA traditions and have always placed a great emphasis on promoting our great mares.   We are honored to be able to support the NRCHA in this way and hope this award and added incentives will encourage other mare owners to do the same.
